Technique:

  1. Bottom partner gets on hands and knees
  2. Put hands under shoulders and spread fingers
  3. Imagine that you are a firm massage table.
  4. Top partner slowly lower themselves onto bottom partner
  5. Bottom partner inhale, arch back, and look up
  6. Then exhale, curl in tailbone, and look down
  7. Top partner extend arms over head
  8. Then straighten legs and breath together
  9. Relax and enjoy the massage.

Health Benefits:

Top partner releases tension in neck and shoulders as well as opening the chest. Bottom partner strengthens arms and abs while increasing spinal range of motion.

Keep in Mind:

Bottom partner may wish to place towel under knees for padding. Top may need to adjust position up or down to allow for the comfort of both partners. If extending arms overhead is too much, leave them hang to the sides.

If the upper partner is unable to stretch their arms over their head then they may stay in this position with their arms lowered.
